What burdens will You bear for me?

I asked this question on Thanksgiving Monday 2011 during my season of querying the Great I Am.

Day 17 - What burdens will You bear for me?

God said:
You carry so many burdens Gaylene.
I want to take them all.
The people I put on your heart.
Your family.
Your neighbors.

None of them are intended for you to carry.
You need to always lift them up in prayer.
You need to always let me have those burdens.

You're getting better.
The tears the past few days.
Give them to me.
Give it all to me.

My yoke is easy.
My burden is light.

Next: Name my burden and show me what it looks like to You.

What in me causes You joy?

Going back and revisiting God's answers to my questions often leaves me in pools of tears. I'm just so grateful and I cannot fathom how people make it without hearing His voice, His love, His encouragement...

Day 16 - What in me causes You joy?
Where in my life am I getting it right?
What fruits of the Spirit are starting to sprout?
What in my life would cause You to clap for me?

God said:
Gaylene, why are you crying?
Why are you so afraid to hear this? Why are you stopping?
I love you.
I enjoy you.
I need you.
And you keep going deeper

You are my yes woman.
Yes, there's things you resist me on, but for the most part I scan the earth and you're someone I can count on. You say yes when others just shrug.

That causes me joy.
That causes me to clap for you.
You stand.
You grow.
You never stand still in your faith walk.

You know full well how you've grown in the areas of the fruit.
You're more patient, less angry.
Look at the list.
You've grown and it gives me joy, my daughter.

What in me causes You grief?

There were days during my 40 days of asking God questions that His answers struck me to the core. This was one of those days.

Day 15 - What in me causes You grief?

God said:
Gaylene. I love you but you keep carrying cancelled sin.
You speak too much before listening.

You don't ask questions from reputable sources...and sometimes you try and look more intelligent rather than speaking from your heart.

You're intelligent, but I don't want you to rely on your mind so much.

It's your heart you need to speak from. You need to reach in there and speak from there more often.

What's on Your heart God?

As I asked God questions, He continued to confront me - in His kindness and mercy - of my iniquity.

Day 14 - What's on Your heart God?

God said: Obviously Israel.

They are my portion, my prize, my beloved ones. I love them.
I need you to think back and there is so much more for you to remember about Israel, my heart.

I replied: Lord I was so sinful at that time. It hurts to remember being there knowing where I was.

God said: Don't worry even then I was drawing you.
Even then I knew you'd be here today saying that exact thing.
All is forgiven. I see your repentant heart.
Stop.
Carrying.
Cancelled.
Sin.
Gaylene.
It should hurt.
It's my heart's desire, but don't focus on your sin. It drags you down. It holds you back.
You can speak of it but don't get morose.
There's much work to be done in your prayers. In your focus.
